The Good Companions—Saturday 18th June

For those who don’t know, Saturday 18th June 2005 saw Left Hand Red play their debut gig. We performed to an enthusiastic audience in what can only be described as the unusual setting of "The Good Companions" in Peacehaven. Any pre-gig nerves were soon blasted away as we opened with the storming Gold Digger, which was followed in quick succession by the popular Can’t Help Thinking This Way.

Dan was on top form, dancing and belting his way through a strong seven-song set, while the rest of us backed him up with a powerful and solid performance. This all cumulated with the roaring crowd pleaser See It Coming. A stupendous end to an exceptional first performance. Next stop… The World!!

The band would like to thank everyone who came along and supported them on the night and those who continue to show their enthusiasm. Also, a big thank you to the organisers for letting us take the stage.

Here are a few of the comments left on the Left Hand Red message board from the people who were there:

"Powerful performance, great stage presence Dan… what a great first gig- musically brilliant from an extremely talented band!" - thegangat69

"Well done for Saturday night, you were awesome. Especially liked Can’t help thinking this way. Looking forwards to the next gig…" - wallawalla
