Message boards back up

During a period of festive weirdness, the Left Hand Red message boards were a bit on the broken side. The good news is, after a little upgrade, they’re now up and running. Go on, get posting!

Oh yes, and Happy New Year!

November/December gig news

Left Hand Red’s attempt at World-domination (well, Brighton) continues. Last night saw the band play at the Cable Club night at the Pressure Point in Brighton, and we pulled a good crowd as always. The set, which opened with new favourite Clockwork and ended with old fave See it Coming, went as follows:

  • Clockwork
  • Against the Grain
  • Out of Focus
  • Gold Digger
  • Throw It All Away
  • We Are the Youth
  • See It Coming

November saw LHR team up with Southampton’s Dead! Dead! Dead! to put on an excellent show at Polar Central in Brighton. It was possibly the best performance yet, and also showcased two new songs: the thumping Clockwork and rousing Out of Focus.

Dead! Dead! Dead! showed that they were more than worthy of the promising press they’ve been receiving, with their unique brand of spaz-rock (and I mean that in a good way) bursting out of any pigeon-hole you try to put them in. Hopefully we’ll see the bands teaming up again, with a possible visit for LHR along the coast in the New Year.

Coming up next Sunday (18th), Left Hand Red leave Sussex for the first time to take part in the Winter Battle of the Bands at the Rock Garden in Covent Garden. Obviously it’s a bit more of a trek than usual for our Brighton-based fans, but we’d be forever in the debt of anyone who makes the trip. You also get four other bands (quality may differ) thrown in to the bargain. See the Rock Garden website for more details.

Finally, a big “thank you” to the people Dan spoke to who discovered us on MySpace and have been to the last couple of gigs. It’s great that new people are checking us out, but even better that they’re coming back! Cheers, guys!
