Clockwork on Southern Counties Radio

Clockwork (which can be downloaded free from this site) is getting a review on Southern Counties Radio’s South Live show.

The 2006 demo will be up in front of a panel of industry judges some time between 20:00 and 21:00 tonight (Sunday 7th October), and you can listen live on the BBC site. Exciting stuff!

Left Hand Red Get First Airplay

Yesterday evening, some time around 20:15, the demo of Clockwork (download from the ‘Music’ page) received a play on the Damo and Ace show on Brighton’s Juice 107.2 station, which regularly plays music by and holds interviews with local bands.

The song received plenty of praise, along with a flurry of enthusiastic messages sent in to the show and a healthy plug for tonight’s (Tuesday) gig at The Hope.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from Left Hand Red! We’re set to start 2007 as we mean to go on. The new demo CD, entitled Through These Windows is just about ready to come out of the oven, and a redesigned website is now underway (if anything looks a bit funny over the coming weeks, that’ll be why).

Look out for downloadable, iPoddable, huggable versions of the new tracks soon, or if you don’t have the patience, for lower-quality streaming versions visit our MySpace profile.

New Tracks Released!

We just couldn’t keep you waiting any longer! MP3 versions of Clockwork and Against the Grain are now available from the Demos page. There are now seven Left Hand Red tracks to download, including last year’s Spread the Word EP, and a live version of Kill the Mystery taken from our Cable Club headliner last September.

Don’t forget — we’ll be appearing at the Pressure Point on 13th August as headliners of a special Sunday Cable Club.

August BrightonWaves Now Available

August’s BrightonWaves show is now live, meaning you can hear Clockwork right now! Left Hand Red have been chosen to close the show, which also features seven other Brighton bands like Magic Bullet Band, Faces for Radio and Target.

Hear Clockwork on BrightonWaves

Our new demo is nearing completion, and you will be able to hear the fruits of our labour in August’s BrightonWaves podcast! The August show features the new demo of Clockwork, already a fan favourite and now you can hear it from the comfort of your own home.

BrightonWaves showcases some of Brighton’s best unsigned talent, and is available as monthly podcast or for individual listening on the website. I highly recommend subscribing to the podcast, as it’s an excellent way to discover new local music and to hear who’s playing where in the Brighton area.

You don’t need to have an iPod to listen to podcasts, or any other MP3 player for that matter. There’s plenty of software that you can use to subscribe to the podcast and download the episodes automatically as they are released. I recommend iTunes or Juice.
